We are ecstatic to announce our new SV Sponsored Athlete Joseph Hurley. Joseph is a CrossFit Athlete and coach at Iron Phoenix and boy, this man is going places!

 

We will be supporting Joseph with medical treatment ensuring he is in optimum shape for training and competitions. We are super excited for this young man and what is to follow. 

 

Meet the Athlete:

“So about me. I am 22 years old, I have competed in many sports! My first love of a sport was rugby. I started when I was 5-6 years old and had to stop playing in the last couple of years due to head injuries. But since then I have started to do CrossFit over the last 3+ years now! And I love the competitive side and hopefully one day will make the CrossFit games in USA!

 

My CrossFit training consists of training 6 out of the 7 days, 4 days training is twice a day and the other 2 days, I train once.

 

My accomplishments so far are only little to where I want to be and strive to get to! Currently:

2023 CrossFit open: 542nd Worldwide, 187th in Europe and  22nd UK

2022 Arnold Fitness game’s elite category: 7th

European Championships: 4th Place - 3rd-5th September 2021

Rainhill 2021: 4th Place 

 

Pairs competitions:

Colchester same sex pairs: 2nd Place - 4th July 2021

Talisman summer slam 2021: 1st Place - 1st August 2021
