Sophie and Jess met St Clare Hospice London Marathon 2017 runners on Wednesday 23 November for the first of three marathon talks.
The ten runners are all raising vital funds for the hospice. Their ages range from an 18 year old novice runner to 66 year old Colin from Harlow Athletic Club.
Sophie and Jess discussed the prevention of running injuries and optimum recovery tips, such as foam rolling, stretching, sports massage and Epsom salt baths.
They gave the runners advice about correct running trainers and tips for their marathon programme and then held a Q&A session.
It was lovely to catch up with Jade and Becky who work for St Clare Hospice. They do such a fantastic job fundraising for the charity. It was also great to see one of our clients John who ran London Marathon 2016; his daughter is now following in his footsteps (or running steps)!
We look forward to seeing everyone at the next marathon evening event in February.
