The SV Sports Therapy events team put in a stellar performance at the 2019 OCR World Championships last weekend. This was the second year running that we provided pre and post race support to world class athletes.
From Thursday 10 October to Sunday 13 October, we had a total of 41 sports therapists on site, with our days starting at 06:30 and ending at 21:00.
Thursday was registration day; then Friday, Saturday and Sunday saw 5,000 athletes compete across a range of distances.
We were massively inspired by these phenomenal athletes and it was a real privilege to work with them. And there was so much mud!!!
And SV's Fleur got stuck in and ran the 7k charity race along with sports therapist Pip and SV client Nat!
We were delighted to spend time with race director Sandra Sawyer and to meet Steve McCollum, partnership manager at charity Back2Back Ministries.
It has already been announced that the 2020 OCR World Championships will be held in Vermont, USA so this may be our last time at the World Champs for a while.
But fear not, Nuclear Fallout is on 2 November and the SV team will be down at Kelvedon Hatch once again to support the fantastic OCR athletes.
